Some power in the venue goes out during Smart Patrol, and Bob 1 wails on his guitar solo for over 4 minutes until Jerry calls it quits until the power is back. Must be heard to be believed!

This recording was formerly distributed as 1978-10-xx – Location Unknown. Bonus tracks are from FM broadcast of what is apparently the same show.

xMMx Revision

[xMMx revisions have been treated to provide the smoothest listening experience. Please keep all notes with these revisions and do not distribute them in place of the original recordings.]

Confirmed location from “Praying Hands” & referred to huboon.com for date & venue. GVC also mentions the venue following the first attempt at “Smart Patrol,” as the venue apparently lost most of its lighting during the song. Bob 1 wails inspiringly for an extended FOUR-AND-A-HALF-MINUTE solo in the song before they give up and wait for full power to be restored. Worth getting for this alone!

Pitch corrected (recording ran approximately 65c below pitch);

EQ boosted @ 50Hz bandwidth to bring out kick drum;

trimmed dead space from beginning and applied :02 fade-in;

smoothed mic bump/cut between “Uncontrollable Urge” & “Mongoloid,” also between “Jocko Homo” & “Smart Patrol”;

patched :14 left channel drop-out in “Smart Patrol”;

smoothed cut between both performances of “Smart Patrol”;

smoothed cut in crowd noise between “Sloppy” & “Red Eye”;

trimmed dead space from end of recording and applied :05 fade to applause;

FM: Pitch corrected.
