Live and Loud Blog Remaster – xMMx Revision

Quality:

Notes:

This edit was sourced from a 320kbps mp3 download from Live and Loud! blog (http://liveandloudshows.blogspot.co.uk/2016/11/show-84-devo-live-at-wollman-skating.html) and is therefore not lossless. This is a different source from BBB A107 (WPLJ broadcast), as it has a lot less of the room noise in the mix and a few additional seconds of program between certain songs. The clarity is a quantum leap over the A107 source. THANK YOU, FLIP MARTIAN, FOR CLEANING UP/MASTERING, AND FOR SHARING, YOUR SUPERIOR SOURCE!

Program ran approximately 11 cents over pitch compared to official Warner Bros. Music Show source–adjusted accordingly, keying off “S.I.B.” sequence;

The blog did a proper mastering job on the program; normalized to 0dB;

patched cut/talked-over beginning using alternate source (WPLJ broadcast from BBB);

copied/pasted/cross-faded to repair :40 passage initially excised from “FoC Theme Song” to remove synth “freakout” (see blogger’s notes on “weird moments with noise lasting several seconds”–that was an analog synth going off the reservation and was what the audience heard at the show. The “freakout” isn’t there anymore, but the correct arrangement of the song has been restored); (BBB Editorial Note: We’ve been corrected by a spud called HK– the synth “freakout” is actually the start of the Tunnel of Life film accidentally piped to the PA at the wrong moment.)

copied/pasted to repair glitch (synth “double tap” not in original recording–double-checked against WPLJ source) at beginning of “Whip It”;

applied fade at end of “Come Back Jonee”;

re-tracked.
